VIETNAM RANKS SECOND IN SOUTHEAST
ASIA FOR AI USE AMONG WORKERS

Vietnam's next AI chapter is about building AI capability inside the economy — not merely importing AI applications. Vietnam ranked 33rd globally for AI adoption among its working-age population in the second quarter of 2026, according to Microsoft. Within Southeast Asia, Vietnam outperformed most countries in AI adoption, trailing only Singapore at 64.3%. It ranked ahead of Malaysia at 22.6%, the Philippines at 20.7%, Indonesia at 14.8% and Thailand at 13.4%. Viet Nam aims to rank among the three leading ASEAN countries in artificial intelligence (AI) by 2030.
